OnePlus included its latest flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open, in the first wave of devices receiving the Android 15 Beta 1 update.
The update, available from Thursday allows developers and early adopters to experience new features and APIs on their OnePlus devices through the developer version of OxygenOS, built upon Android 15 Beta 1.
In a statement, Kinder Liu, President and COO, OnePlus, highlighted the company's longstanding partnership with Google: "OnePlus and Google have been working closely for a considerable time to deliver the best possible user experience through OxygenOS, based on successive versions of Google's Android operating systems. With the arrival of Android 15, we believe the full potential of our flagship devices, like the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open, will be fully realised by both developers and users."
Further, Android 15 prioritises enhancing camera and media experiences, improving connectivity and offering new APIs for developers to create improved applications. The update includes features like Low Light Boost and In-app camera controls, aiming to empower users with the tools to bring their creative visions to life.
In addition, the platform grants applications access to the latest advancements in communication, facilitating improvements like a smoother NFC experience.
The Android 15 Beta 1 update is available for both the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus Open. These flagship devices boast Fast and Smooth performance, high-quality displays and advanced imaging capabilities, designed to deliver a well-rounded flagship experience for users worldwide.
