Om Logistics, a leader in supply chain and logistics management in India, has disclosed a major acquisition with the purchase of Inland Container Depot (ICD) Bawal in Haryana for Rs 110 crore. This substantial investment signifies a critical milestone in Om Logistics' growth trajectory, bolstering its standing as a key player in the logistics sector.
ICD Bawal is strategically positioned within the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) industrial estate. This state-of-the-art multimodal logistics hub spans 20 acres and is equipped with advanced infrastructure, including two automated rail lines, a 30,000 sq. ft. custom bonded warehouse, and a capacity to manage 5,000 containers of EXIM cargo each month.
The facility's strategic location offers excellent connectivity to major ports such as Mundra, Pipavav, and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), ensuring smooth and efficient cargo movement. Additionally, its proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and other regional airports allows for effective air cargo handling.
Located near key highways NH48 and NH71, ICD Bawal offers seamless road connectivity to northern and western India. Furthermore, the depot is directly connected to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) and Indian Railways, enhancing its capability for swift rail cargo movement.
This acquisition is set to significantly expand Om Logistics' Pan India operations, reducing average transit times and optimising supply chain efficiency.
