Okinawa Scooters Starts Pre-Bookings For Praise; Launch In December 2017
Indian electric two wheeler manufacturing company Okinawa Scooters is set to launch its second product ‘Praise’ in December 2017, and pre-bookings for the e-scooter have already started for Rs 2,000.
Announcing the details of Okinawa Praise, the company said it is going to be India’s fastest electric scooter with the longest range.
Fitted with side stand sensors with an in-built safety feature, anti-theft sensor in the main stand, Combi brakes - the Praise is fully equipped with EABS Technology.
Established in 2015, Okinawa Scooters already has ‘Ridge’ electric scooter for Indian consumers. It is available in four colour options – White, Red, Green, and Red White.
Some of the features of Okinawa Ridge are stylish headlamp and rear tail light, alloy wheel, digital speedometer, tubeless tyre, and rear suspension.
With maximum power at 800 watt, the range of Ridge is somewhere between 80km-90km with speed leading up to 55 km/hr. It measures 1725mm X 695mm X 1080mm with loading capacity of 150kg.
Equipped with 60V/24Ah VRLA battery, under normal conditions it takes 4-6 hours charging time and 1-2 hours under fast conditions.
Apart from Okinawa, companies like Tunwal E-Vehicles, Lohia Auto Industries, Hero Electric, BPG, BSA Motors, and EKO also manufacture electric motorcycles and scooters in India.
