NVIDIA and MediaTek introduced a collaboration at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, with the goal of making high-end gaming display technologies more accessible to gamers around the world. This collaboration incorporates NVIDIA's G-SYNC technology into MediaTek's popular scalers, ushering in a new era of improved gaming experiences.
The partnership between NVIDIA and MediaTek will offer the full suite of NVIDIA G-SYNC capabilities to a broader range of gaming monitors. Gamers can expect better visual quality, ultra-low latency, accurate colours and motion clarity from their screens.
A key feature of this collaboration is the introduction of G-SYNC Pulsar, a technology that quadruples effective motion clarity while providing a smooth, tear-free variable refresh rate (VRR) gaming experience. G-SYNC Pulsar will make its premiere on several new monitors, including the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR, Acer Predator XB273U F5 and AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG2. These monitors, set to release later this year, will have a 2560×1440 resolution, 360Hz refresh rate and HDR capability.
The addition of G-SYNC to MediaTek scalers is a huge step forward because it eliminates the requirement for a separate G-SYNC module. This streamlines the manufacturing process, lowers costs and eventually enables for the construction of feature-rich G-SYNC monitors at more reasonable pricing. By making these premium gaming goods more widely available, NVIDIA and MediaTek hope to make top-tier gaming technology more accessible to a wider audience.
