Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday (14 November) has launched the facelift of its best-selling SUV Scorpio at a price of Rs 9.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The New Scorpio will be available in six variants, namely, S3, S5, S7 (120 bhp), S7 (140 bhp), S11 (140 bhp) and S11 (140 bhp with 4WD), and will be available in Mahindra dealerships across India with immediate effect.
The new Mahindra Scorpio now comes with an enhanced mHawk engine to deliver higher power of 103 kW (140 bhp) and torque of 320 Nm. It also features new 6th generation Borg Warner Turbo Charger, easy shift 6-speed transmission, reverse parking camera with dynamic assist, 1-touch lane change indicator, auto window roll-up, and latest generation braking system with 9.1 Bosch ABS.
Design and styling wise, Scorpio facelift features new chrome grille, fog lamps with chrome bezels, muscular alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated side turn indicators, redesigned tailgate with chrome applique, and sleek red lens LED tail lamps.
Inside new Mahindra Scorpio gets premium faux leather seats, faux leather wrapped steering and gear lever, new roof mounted sunglass holder, and enhanced storage spaces.
It is going to be available in five colours – New premium Pearl White (Only on S11), Diamond White (Except S11), Napoli Black, D Sat Silver and Molten Red. It will be offered in 7,8 and 9 seating configurations.
The all new Mahindra Scorpio is going to compete with the likes of Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, and Renault Captur.
