As per the latest announcement by CBSE, all the medical aspirants can start the process of online application for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-II (NEET) from Thursday.
For admissions into various medical and dental courses, candidates have to submit online application on website www.aipmt.nic.in. The detailed information regarding the test, syllabus and eligibility criteria will be available on the website, the statement said. It asked candidates to check all the detailed information before submitting their application form.
NEET-II will be held on July 24 this year. As per the directions of the Supreme Court, candidates who could not appear in NEET-I, can register themselves for NEET-II.
This test will be applicable for admissions to the all-India quota seats, state government quota seats where the state government concerned so opts and private, management or NRI quota seats in all private medical and dental colleges or any private or deemed university.
On Tuesday, President Pranab Mukherjee cleared the confusion by giving his assent to two ordinances which exempted state government medical and dental colleges from the Supreme Court-ordered single all-India entrance examination.
For this year, the states can either conduct their own entrance examination or be part of the NEET to fill 85 per cent of the undergraduate (UG) medical and dental seats. Fifteen per cent of the remaining seats will be filled through NEET route by all India counselling.
