In India’s Biggest Education Conclave and Global Education Mentor Award (GEM) of The True Topper, in partnership with Bw Businessworld, Jal Shakti Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday, said, “Earlier the focus of the Indian education system was merely reciting and computing, these two attributes were the parameters of measuring capabilities of the students. While the National Education Policy 2020 has shifted the focus to the analytical thinking and significance of mother tongue in learning for the students.”
Shekhawat also mentioned the challenges in the education system were prevalent as the mistakes of students were considered unforgiven and unpleasant while in order to grow they must be allowed to make mistakes.
The conclaves witnessed many academicians, educators and heads of prestigious educational institutions.
While speaking at the event, Swati Mahajan, Co-Founder of The True Topper also stressed the holistic development of the students that includes their mental well-being and social well-being too. She said, “The True Topper is not an organisation rather it is a mission to bring out the best from every child as every student has his/her own uniqueness.” Mahajan also talked about the crucial role of parents in the holistic development of the child.
The conclave majorly revolved around the holistic development of students and dynamic changes brought in by the National Education Policy 2020. Therefore, Jal Shakti Minister also added that currently India is witnessing an era of transformation.
The conclave was also graced with the presence of Singer, Akhil Sachdeva, a Social media influencer and physical & mental well-being experts such as Gunjan Madaan and Himesh Madaan who talked about the holistic development of a child from their perspective.
As children are a lot exposed to advanced technology and modernity these days which constantly amplifies their capabilities in every way there is a need to channel this potential in the right way with the right instruments.
