Jharkhand, known as the Mineral Capital of India, witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for various projects worth more than Rs 300,000 crores during the two-day investment summit.
The MoUs at the 'Momentum Jharkhand' summit were signed under nine different departments.
The Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives reported proposed investment of Rs 1,900 crore, Department of Energy expects projects worth 37,150 crore, and the Department of Health Medical Education and Family Welfare's share of MoUs was 2,060 crore.
The Department of Higher and Technical Education accounts for 3,231 crore worth of proposed investment, while the Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs bagged 2,273 crore deals.
The proposed investment under the Department of Transport is 50 crore and for the Department of Urban Development and Housing the value is 38,320 crore.
The Department of Industries, Mines and Geology achieved MoUs worth 210,505, signifying its importance to the state's economy.
The maximum pie of the investment was bagged by the mining sector. Urban housing took the second position in the investment deal.
All these investment are likely to create employment for 209,176 people directly and generate 392,150 jobs in indirect employment in the state.
The summit will be organised every two years in the capital Ranchi.
