Microsoft on Monday said it will be launching an initiative that is geared towards empowering one lakh developers in India with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and tools.
The ‘AI Odyssey’ initiative by Microsoft will be a month-long learning experience open to all AI enthusiasts in India, irrespective of their background or experience level. To participate, developers can register on aka.ms/AIOdyssey, gaining access to a variety of learning modules and resources designed to enhance their practical skills in AI development.
The program is structured into two levels, both to be completed by 31 January 2024. The first level focuses on instructing participants on leveraging Azure AI services to create and deploy solutions for diverse scenarios. By providing access to valuable resources, code samples, and guides, Microsoft aims to equip developers with the necessary skills to execute AI projects aligned with specific business goals.
The second level challenges participants to demonstrate their AI proficiency by completing an online assessment featuring interactive lab tasks. Successful completion of this level earns participants Microsoft Applied Skills credentials, a verifiable testament to their ability to solve real-world problems using AI technologies.
A compelling incentive awaits those who successfully navigate both levels of the program. Participants stand a chance to win VIP passes granting access to the Microsoft AI Tour scheduled for 8 February 2024, in Bangalore.
In a statement, Irina Ghose, Managing Director, Microsoft India, said, “AI is the future of innovation and India is leading the way with its tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential will help developers demonstrate their competence and creativity in the most in-demand AI skills and scenarios. We welcome all developers to join us in creating meaningful AI solutions that will contribute to India's economy."
