Semiconductor company MediaTek showcased its latest innovations in mobile, automotive and IoT technologies at the 14th edition of its ‘Technology Diaries’ series. The event, titled This Chip Changes Everything, also showcased the company’s partnerships with Indian manufacturers and its roadmap for integrating generative AI and advanced connectivity into consumer and industrial devices.
At the event, MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 9400 chipset, powering the OPPO Find X8 Pro. The chipset features an All-Big Core design built on Arm's v9.2 CPU architecture, a new GPU and an advanced NPU for enhanced performance in gaming and generative AI applications. MediaTek also showcased the Dimensity 7300 and other 5G chipsets, alongside smart TVs, tablets and IoT solutions developed in collaboration with brands like Motorola, Realme and ACER.
Automotive technology was another focus, with MediaTek presenting its Dimensity Automotive platform. Vehicles such as Tata Punch.eV and Skoda Slavia, as well as electric two-wheelers powered by JioThings Limited, were displayed to underline the growing adoption of smart clusters in India’s EV market.
MediaTek also showed its work in AI-driven smart home devices, including products like the Amazon Echo Spot and Miko3 Smart Robot. According to Anku Jain, Managing Director of MediaTek India, the company is prioritising efficiency and sustainability while integrating intelligent technologies into everyday life.
The event included a student innovation showcase led by ThinkStartup, featuring projects in AI, IoT and robotics. MediaTek's ‘Technology Diaries’ series aims to explain emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
