<div>Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, has organised a series of events including Imperium, Akshayam and Illumina. Imperium and Akshayam held between 6 November and 8 November, were the a blend of academic and extracurricular activities. </div><div> </div><div>On the other hand, Illumina, a permanent fixture on MDI’s annual calendar, was organised on 8 November and offered corporates valuable insights into consumer psyche based on MDI students’ innovative models.</div><div> </div><div>Imperium, the annual inter-college management fest that ran for 72 hours straight was a veritable carnival. Organised single handedly by the students, this one-of-a-kind event was a holistic experience, complete with games, opportunities to form networks, test managerial skills and put classroom teaching into practice.</div><div> </div><div>Akshayam, however, was an out and out cultural treat with students participating in music, dance, drama, fashion, pottery making, face painting, poster making, treasure hunt, tattoo making, fashion show, dress making and other competitions. The highlight of the series was the stand-up comic act by Abish Mathew, the multi-talented singer, guitarist, actor and comedian of the AIB fame, which left everyone in splits. His upbeat performance on November 6 was followed by another memorable evening with DJ Lloyd, India’s number one Bollywood DJ who got everyone in the party spirit.</div><div> </div><div>This sense of euphoria continued with Illumina, the disguised market research event that was treated like a grand Diwali Mela, with the students and faculty popularly referring to it as Urban Illumina.
