Lufthansa has partnered with Sennheiser to offer its Momentum 4 Wireless headphones in the airline's Allegris First Class suites, beginning on select flights between Munich and Bangalore and Mumbai. The collaboration aims to enhance the inflight entertainment experience with high-quality sound and comfort.
Lufthansa passengers in the new Allegris First Class suites will soon be able to experience Sennheiser's Momentum 4 Wireless headphones, part of a collaboration between the airline and the German audio company. The headphones, tailored to meet the needs of long-haul travelers, will be available on select routes from Munich to Bangalore and Mumbai. Lufthansa plans to expand this offering to additional routes in the future, aligning with both companies’ goals of elevating the customer experience.
The headphones are equipped with noise cancellation and offer a substantial battery life of up to 60 hours on a single charge. Key features include Bluetooth connectivity, allowing passengers in all travel classes to pair the headphones with Lufthansa's inflight entertainment (IFE) system or with their own devices. The headphones are designed for long-term wear, with emphasis on comfort for lengthy flights.
Kai Peters, Lufthansa’s Head of Customer Experience Design, stated the choice of Sennheiser as a strategic move to provide ‘a premium sound experience’ as part of the Allegris First Class offering. "Sennheiser has a reputation for producing high-quality audio equipment, and their Momentum 4 headphones meet our standards for sound, comfort and usability in our new First Class suites,” Peters stated.
Christian Ern, Principal Product Manager at Sennheiser, stated that Lufthansa's selection of the headphones shows a shared commitment to ‘excellence’ in technology and customer service. The headphones are designed for extended use, which matches the long-haul flights they will be used on, Ern said.
The Lufthansa-branded edition of the Momentum 4 Wireless will be available for First Class passengers to use during flights and is also available for purchase via Lufthansa’s Inflight Shopping, the First Class Terminal and Worldshop starting at the end of November. The headphones include features like advanced active noise cancellation and seamless Bluetooth streaming for enhanced connectivity with the IFE system.
Standard versions of the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless are also available at select retailers and on the official Sennheiser website.
