In the same direction, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur launched two new-age programmes - Executive MBA and Executive MBA in Digital Transformation &Analytics to equip working professionals with future-centric skills that help them critically analyse data, improve business practices, and accelerate career development.
Digital elements have the utmost intervention in human lives, hence it is important to understand each dimension thoroughly. The Executive MBA in Digital Transformation & Analytics launched by IIM Sirmaur help the working professional to touch all the aspects of the digital world.
These two programmes will be for two years and will be taken up mostly online. The final intake for the Executive MBA Programme is 250 while there will be 120 seats for the Executive MBA programme in Digital Transformation and Analytics.
Talking about which sector has more demand for skills, Professor Prafulla Y. Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur said that education itself going through a transformation. He mentioned the instance of Corona that was not anticipated but when it came, technology gave the safe escape in terms of job and education.
Agnihotri added that in order to face such challenges we need to promote lifelong learning. In the era of disrupting technology where the nature of jobs changes every day, Agnihotri mentioned that the concept of an agile workforce is a hot topic these days, however, we can keep the workforce agile only with constant learning. As a teacher, he added that we teachers need to teach them to learn more and more in different ways.
Besides the director of IIM Sirmaur, industry stalwarts like Radha Abrol, Managing Director, Accenture, Prakhar Singh, Customer Marketing & Shopper Insights Head, PepsiCo India Foods and Anish Srikrishna, CEO of TIMESPRO were also gracing the event and gave their insights over enabling the existing workforce of India.
