LG Electronics (LG) introduced its latest televisions, the Next Generation of AI TVs, in India. The range includes sizes from 43 inches to 97 inches and features LG OLED EVO AI and LG QNED AI TVs. The world's largest OLED TV, the LG OLED 97G4, is included in the lineup.
“We are proud to introduce the Next Generation of AI TVs, showcasing the forefront of innovation in both OLED and premium LED technologies,” said Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India.
The new TVs promise an improved viewing experience through a combination of advanced processors and AI capabilities. LG’s OLED AI TVs use AI upscaling to enhance picture quality, including for sub-4K content. Additionally, AI Sound Pro refines audio and separates vocals from background noise. The LG OLED EVO G4 series offers brightness booster max technology, achieving a peak brightness 150 per cent higher than conventional OLED TVs.
Additionally, Gamers can benefit from Dolby Vision Gaming 4K at 144Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC certification and AMD FreeSync compatibility to reduce screen tearing and stuttering. LG QNED AI TVs utilise Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology for vibrant colours and sharp contrast. Through local dimming technology, the QNED MiniLED TV offers improved gradations and deeper blacks. AI in the LG QNED AI TV refines both picture and audio quality.
LG’s WebOS platform allows for up to 10 individual user profiles, with customisation options for the Home screen and personalised settings. The WebOS Re: New program guarantees operating system upgrades for the next five years. Both LG OLED AI TVs and QNED AI TVs support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for enhanced visuals and sound. FILMMAKER MODE allows viewers to see films as the director intended.
Further, the company stated that for an immersive home cinema experience, LG TVs can connect wirelessly to soundbars through built-in WOWCAST. In addition, LG TVs offer accessibility features for users with diverse abilities. These features are easily found on the Home screen. LG TVs also include Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast for effortless content casting from mobile devices.
