Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition Launched In India: How It Is Different From Ninja 300
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki is banking on Ninja 650 to further its reach and popularity in India by launching the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition for Rs 549,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
It has been priced Rs 16,000 more than Kawasaki Ninja 650.
KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition has an upright riding position, low seat height and manageable power delivery. It will be available in Lime Green colour. Rest all its features and specifications matches with Ninja 650.
The bike can be bought from all Kawasaki dealerships across India from mid-November onwards.

We have got a good pool of Ninja 650 customers here in India as well. Those who were planning to buy Ninja 650, now have got another option with this new edition.”
Another Ninja in India Kawasaki Motors’ product line-up - Kawasaki Ninja 300 also has a good fan following. Keeping this in mind, it is significant to see how the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition is different from Kawasaki Ninja 300.
Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition
It comes equipped with 649cc 4-stroke parallel twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8 valves engine with 6-speed transmission. Ninja 650's engine churns out 50.2kW of maximum power at 8,000 rpm, and 65.7Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm.
The new bodywork is complemented by the new double-pipe perimeter-style frame and the Ninja 650’s characteristic offset lay down rear suspension.
The bike has a wheelbase of 1,410mm, ground clearance of 130mm, seat height of 790mm, and fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition’s overall dimensions are 2,115mm x 740mm x 1,135mm.
Kawasaki Ninja 300
This Ninja is powered by 296cc 4-stroke parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine which gives out 29kW of maximum output at 11,000 rpm, and maximum torque of 27Nm at 10,000 rpm. It features 6-speed transmission.
Like the Ninja ZX-10R, the new Ninja 300 uses a floating-style windscreen with a gap between the cowl and the windscreen. Its fin design and large ventilation holes in the fairing have a design similar to that of the Ninja ZX14R.
Kawasaki Ninja 300's Assist & Slipper Clutch was developed based on feedback from racing activities. The clutch uses two types of cams (an assist cam and a slipper cam), offering two new functions not available on the standard clutch of the Ninja 250R.
Similar to the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R, dual throttle valves give precise control of intake air, resulting in linear throttle response across the rpm range. Dual throttle valves also contribute to combustion efficiency, claims the company.
It measures 2,015mm x 715mm x 1,110mm. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,405mm, ground clearance of 140mm, seat height of 785mm, and fuel tank capacity of 17 litres.
