Karthik Narain has officially assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Accenture as of 1 September 2024, while continuing his duties as Group Chief Executive - Technology.
This appointment is milestone in Narain’s career and comes as a part of a leadership transition within the company. Narain succeeds Paul Daugherty, who is retiring after a distinguished tenure of nearly four decades with Accenture. In his announcement, Narain expressed deep gratitude for Daugherty’s visionary leadership and acknowledged the substantial impact Daugherty has made on the company.

Narain’s career trajectory reflects a background in technology and leadership. Prior to his new role, he served as Group Executive - Technology at Accenture. His earlier experience includes a tenure as Vice President and Vertical Head for High Tech, including Software & Platforms, and Automotive at HCLTech from 2005 to 2015. Narain also has a history with Infosys.
Narain’s academic credentials include a Master’s in Computer Systems and Business from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.
