The Jat agitation hitting the capital in full bloom tomorrow has developed a sudden anxiety among the students appearing for board exams. In a recent advisory, Central Board for Secondary Examination (CBSE) have asked students to reach the centres well in advance.
The advisory says, “It has come to the notice of the Board through reliable sources that Akhil Bhartiya Jat Aarakshan Samiti has appealed to the members of the Jat Community to gherao the Parliament House and PM’s residence in New Delhi on 20th March, 2017 (Monday).”
The advisory adds, “The students and parents are hereby informed and advised to take necessary measures to reach the examination centres well before the scheduled time to avoid any inconvenience in anticipation to the gherao.”
“We have sent bulk messages to our parent group. This is a serious pressure and absolutely not fair to the students who are already under a lot of pressure for their board exams,” reacts Sudha Acharya, Principal, ITL Dwarka.
Mentioning the measures taken by the school, she added, “A huge number of students coming from Gurgaon and Faridabad will be starting from their home at 5 am in the morning. We have suggested them to stay back in their relative’s house today on, if possible. With the pressure of Mathematics exam tomorrow, I do not want my students to get much affected by this situation. Eventually this would also affect their papers. For students arriving early morning, we have made a sitting arrangement in the examination hall itself.”
According to the advisory, subject examinations of Mathematics, First Aid and Emergency Medical Care, Clinical Bio-chemistry and Microbiology-II, Microbiology (MLT), Health Centre Management, Opthalmic Techniques-II, Radiograhpy-II are scheduled for Monday 20th March.
Painting, Spanish and Russian examinations are scheduled for class 10 tomorrow.
