Japan-based Research Institute of Next Generation AI (RingAI) is all set to host the competition on machine learning and artificial intelligence for entrepreneurs at the Alumni Association IIT Kanpur-Pune Chapter's Startup Master Class on 16 September.
RingAI has set up an India Japan Technology Collaboration Fund, which will provide five winning entrepreneurs with investment and incubation opportunities in Japan in addition to cash prizes.
Sanjeev Sinha, President, RingAI, and Advisor to Japan Railways for the Rs. 98,000 crore Ahmedabad-Mumbai high-speed rail project, will also deliver a keynote on Indo-Japan business collaboration and initiatives at the Startup Master Class. As the Founding President of IIT Alumni Association- Japan as well as TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs)-Tokyo and the Sun and Sands Group, he has built and led many new platforms for promoting bilateral relations between the two countries.
An initiative by the Alumni Association IIT Kanpur, the Startup Master Class in Pune is being hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Khadki, and in collaboration with RingAI and NASSCOM (The National Association of Software and Services Companies) and FundHound.
Startup Master Class brings together global thought leaders and speakers from the government sector, corporates, venture capital / private equity firms, industry associations, and entrepreneurs, who share their learnings and success stories with young startup promoters and academia. It gives early and mid-stage startups opportunities to get their ideas incubated and funded by the country's leading investors. So far, nine Startup Master Classes have concluded across cities, including Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune.
Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar Parrikar- an alumnus of IIT Bombay- will inaugurate the conference in Pune.
This year the Pune event will focus on five tracks pertinent to the tech domain, including FinTech, EdTech, HealthTech, IOT (Internet of Things) and Social Enterprise as well as a general track. Some of the confirmed speakers, include Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO, Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI); Kunal Kumar, Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation; Babasaheb Neelkanth Kalyani, eminent industrialist and Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Forge Ltd.; Media Mogul Anurag Batra; Ajeet Khurana, seasoned entrepreneur and mentor working with early-stage enterprises; Anil Chhikara entrepreneur and former Principal at Jaarvis Accelerator and angel investor Dr. Aniruddha Malapani.
