iQOO is preparing to introduce its flagship smartphone, the iQOO 13, in China next month, with plans for a global release later this year. Prior to the formal declaration, the gadget emerged on several certification websites, including IMEI, confirming its model number as 12401.
The iQOO 13 is expected to have Qualcomm's future Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, also known as Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite. Recent rumours indicate that the smartphone may also use iQOO's proprietary Q2 supercomputing CPU, which is supposed to dramatically improve gaming performance. This comes after the debut of the Q1 supercomputing chip in the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, which marked the second use of a dedicated gaming chip in an iQOO device.
Other Specifications
The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, providing a fluid visual experience. It may include up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage capacity of up to 512GB with UFS 4.0 technology.
In terms of photography, the device has a triple camera configuration on the rear, which has a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens. A 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls could be included with the iQOO 13.
The iQOO 13 is expected to feature a 6,150mAh battery, up from the 5,000mAh capacity of its predecessor, as well as compatibility for 120W rapid charging technology.
The iQOO 13's design is stated to include a sleek metal frame and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. The smartphone is also rumoured to incorporate a new ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which would improve security and user ease.
