● How will Xactly's expansion impact the local economy and talent pool in Bengaluru?
[Xactly]
Over the past five years, Xactly India has experienced an impressive growth of over 200 per cent, and this upward trajectory is expected to continue in the coming years. This not only provides employment to a significant portion of the local population but also attracts talent from other regions, boosting the overall employment rate. Xactly's products are built on cutting-edge technologies, which bring advanced software development practices, making the local workforce more advanced and competitive in global markets. Xactly’s growth has contributed to a multiplier effect for local suppliers and service providers. Xactly’s core values C.A.R.E (Customer Focus, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) have created a diverse workforce which has contributed to attracting better talents from other parts of the country. Xactly One, which is Xactly's initiative for community services, has donated time, resources, and money to various local NGOs.
● How will this expansion benefit Xactly's existing Indian customer base?
[Xactly]
Xactly boasts a multitude of customers who run their revenue management teams from India. Initially concentrating on engineering, the centre has expanded its scope to include various departments such as product management, customer support, professional services, and finance. As a result of this expansion, Xactly's customers are already spending in-person time with our teams. The local presence has enabled us to gain valuable insights into the day-to-day behaviour of many customers who operate on our systems, allowing us to enhance their efficiency significantly.
● What does the government need to do to support the technology ecosystem in India?
[Xactly]
I will start by investing in robust physical & digital infrastructure including a reliable power supply & efficient transportation network. Also, Invest time and money in simplifying & streamlining regulations including data protection and cyber security. Focus more on green and sustainable technologies and frameworks. Simplify business registration, reduce regulatory hurdles, offer financial incentives, and establish programs to support early-stage startups and encourage investments in the tech sector. Offer grants, tax incentives, and funding for R&D in emerging technologies. Establish innovation labs and centres of excellence in collaboration with industry and academia. Bengaluru has several basic issues that urgently need to be addressed such as transportation, water scarcity, etc.
● Fostering collaboration and innovation is extremely important for the success of any tech business. Can you elaborate on specific initiatives planned to achieve this?
