The exchange4media group honoured the best in the news broadcasting fraternity in their 9th edition of ENBA (exchange4media news broadcasting awards) on February 25 in Noida.
The event felicitated journalists across 31 categories with The India Today Group winning the maximum awards across categories. India Today TV won the Best English News Channel Award, while the India Today Group's Aaj Tak won the Best Hindi News Channel for 2016. Rahul Kanwal of India Today TV won the award for the Television News Editor-in-Chief and Sweta Singh of Aaj Tak took the trophy for the Best Anchor in Hindi award.
The TV Editor in Chief for a Hindi Channel award went to Rajat Sharma of India TV. Kartikeya Sharma of iTV Network took the Best News Television CEO award of the year. The ENBA Jury also felicitated News9 as the upcoming National News Channel of the year and chose Ashish Singh from NewsX as the Young Editorial Professional of the year.
Network 18's CNBC Awaaz won BARC India Business News Channel of the Year - Hindi and CNBC TV18 won the award for best English Business News Channel of the Year.
While NDTV's signature show, Truth vs Hype, won the best in-depth series in English category and India News won the same award in Hindi for their show Operation Blackboard.
The jury was led by Sanjay Gupta, managing director, Star India. Some of the other jury members were Alok Mehta, Chief Editor, Outlook Hindi, Junior Anand Gupta, Founder SHE & Ninja Girl Bags; Archana Datta, Ex - Director General, All India Radio & Doordarshan; columnist Devi Cherian; Dheeraj Jain, Managing Director, Radcliffe Capital; author Jaishree Mishra, senior journalist Shravan Garg and Sudhir Mishra, Founder & Managing Partner, Trust Legal, Advocates & Consultants.
