<p><strong>Poonam Kumar</strong><br><br>Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur is all set to organise six-day faculty development programme (FDP) for Faculty members under Technical Education Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II) from 16 November to 21 November 2015. <br><br>This 11th Faculty Development Programme will be attended by 25 participants comprising of professor, associate professor, assistant professors from engineering colleges across the states of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujrat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Telangana, Puducherry and Kerla.<br><br>Mukesh Kumar, Programme Director - FDP, IIM Raipur, said, "About 22-25 faculty members will participate in the programme from different regions, and they will mainly be from B-schools and Engineering Colleges from southern region. If we see the number of the participants, it is consistence, we have not seen any fall in the numbers."<br><br>The series of 12 programmes is the outcome of learning of a two-day conclave organised by institute in May 2014. It is centered on various themes, namely Achieving Academic Excellence Adapting to fast changing needs Participant Centered Assessing Self, Strength and weakness, Improving Teaching, Learning Process, Publishing in top class journals, Learning, Understanding Institutional Needs and Communication, Preparing for accreditation and Washington accord and Managing People and other Resources, Industry Networking and Career Options for Students.<br><br>This is being conducted under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), Government of India, which has initiated the second phase of TEQIP for faculty members of higher educational institutes.<br><br>The FDP is designed for management teachers, heads of institutions and administrative Officials and researchers working in management schools, universities, colleges and professional institutes which teach management and allied subjects such as economics, statistics, computer applications, commerce, banking, sociology and labour relations.<br><br>More such programme shall be organised for faculty members, heads of institutions and administrative Officials of the Engineering Colleges.</p>
