The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad will release five publications during its Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) event.
FPM is the doctoral programme of IIM Ahmedabad and running in its 45th year.
"We have graduated 331 students so far. We are very proud of our Alumni and their achievements that constantly bring laurels to the Alma Mater; wherein the FPM has contributed at least 8 Directors of IIMs, 224 professors in Indian and foreign institutions of higher learning, and 33 in corporate positions. At least 74 have served abroad in different roles and capacities," according to a press release.
IIM Ahmedabad is celebrating the FPM Programme through organizing an "FPM Alumni Meet" on December 2 and 3.
Prof Amit Garg, current FPM chair, mentioned that the institute is planning to hold a grand event that will highlight the achievements of our FPM Alumni over the years, their thought leadership roles in various disciplines, and strengthen their bond with the Institute and with the current FPM students.
The institute will release five publications during this event:
1. A compendium of thesis abstracts of all the 331 Alumni
2. A new brochure for the FPM Programme
3. A Working Paper on the contributions of IIMA FPM Alumni to academics, research, and
industry practices
4. Profile booklet of all the current 103 FPM students
5. Profile booklet of graduating FPM students
There are also eight panel discussions planned over two days that include contributions to academic administration, research and teaching, industry practices, enhancing engagement of FPM Alumni with the institute, public event on Industry-Academia interactions, financial inclusion and ICT, voices of recent Alumni, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
IIM will also have a session by current FPM students wherein they will present the research being conducted by them across areas.
