How PGDM-BM At MDI Gurgaon Accelerates Careers

That’s exactly what the Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Business Management (PGDM-BM) programme at Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon helps one achieve. Developing Leaders who Excel: An 18-month full time residential programme, the PGDM-BM, focuses on developing leaders who will excel in the rapidly changing business environment, become agents of change and be charged with a customer-centric orientation. The participants are professionals with a minimum work experience of five years. The programme starts with the participants being taken to a three-four days’ leadership outbound immersive experience. Thereafter, there is a two-week international or rural immersion, followed by an integrated capstone simulation project where the participants assimilate all their learning. After that, there is a report-writing or project-writing workshop. Finally, the participants go for a three-month dissertation, comprising a total 15 months of classroom and three months of in-company dissertation.
Enriching the Experience: During the course of the programme, the participants get to interact with industry leaders by way of guest lectures. Teaching is based on recent research studies and international experience. It includes lectures, case studies, seminars, group discussions, business games, role plays, simulation exercises, structured and unstructured group work and field visits. The emphasis is on motivating the participants to integrate the concepts, learnt across the core curriculum, and apply them to their own work experience and contemporary business situations.
There are four awards up for grabs: the Prime Minister’s Medal for best overall performance in the programme; the Finance Minister’s Medal for the best performance in the Finance elective course; the Department of Personnel, Government of India, Medal for the best performance in the Human Resource Management elective course; and the ITC Medal for the best performance in the Marketing elective course.
