Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda has exhibited quite a few interesting products at the recently concluded Milan Motorcycle Show - EICMA 2017.
Whether those products will come to India or not, has neither been confirmed nor been rejected, as of now. The Honda exhibits at the EICMA 2017 are:
Honda CB1000R - The CB1000R maintains 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine now empowered with 145 hp. Electronics has gained a new Throttle By Wire system equipped with 4 Riding Modes (Rain, Standard, Sport and User, which can be personalized). Anti-slip clutch as well as a lighter exhaust system are also included.
Honda CB125R and Honda CB300R - These two naked motorcycles share the vintage design and part of the mechanical properties. Honda CB125R features a 124.7cc liquid-cooled mono-cylinder engine, powered with 13,3 hp, which can guarantee very low fuel consumption (48,2 km/l), claims the company.
On the contrary, Honda CB300R’s 286cc engine is capable of 31,4 hp with 30,2 km/l. Both models are equipped with a steel trellis frame, USD fork and single-sided swingarm adjustable for preload at the rear.
The seat height is 816 mm for the 125 model and 799 mm for the 300; furthermore, ABS is available as a standard with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), full LED lighting system, indicators included.
Honda Integra 2018 - The new Honda Integra 2018 comes equipped with 745cc and 55cc twin-pair combined with the dual clutch gearbox DCT. The latter can operate in Drive, Sport (3 levels) and manual mode, with sequential gear selection.
Another launch of the Honda Integra 2018 is the electronic control of the HSTC traction, which is offered as standard and can also be disabled by a simple button. Integra's standard equipment also includes the 12V socket and a 45-liter baulet capable of accommodating two integral helmets. It boasts of new Candy Chromosphere Red colour.
Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2018 - The base model receives a host of detail upgrades to both manual transmission and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) options.
A significant addition for 2018 is the new Throttle By Wire (TBW) system, equipped with 3 Riding Modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel and User, this further mode allows the rider to set and save his preferred combination of Power, EB and HSTC levels) to adjust engine character and output to suit riding conditions. Also new is an extended range of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) input, now featuring 7 levels.
Furthermore for 2018, a modified airbox improves the mid-range response. Also new is the lithium-ion battery 2,3 kg lighter than the lead unit it replaces. For the 2018 model, wet weight is 2 kg lighter, at 230 kg (240 kg for DCT version). Emergency stop signal function for rear indicators is still new.
Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Adventure Sport - Besides the renewed Africa Twin at EICMA 2017 Honda unveiled the Adventure Sports new version. Compared to the standard model this bike features a strong aptitude for both long tour and off-road use.
Main novelties regards a new and larger fuel tank (24,4 litre, + 5,4), extended fairing, taller windscreen (+ 80 mm) as well as longer-travel suspension in order to gain more ground clearance (now 270 mm). The new rear end is larger and, on the right section, can now integrate extra storage space.
Honda X-ADV 2018 - Launched by Honda at EICMA 2016, the X-ADV enduro-scooter new version is now available with a slight review for what concerns the electronics. Honda added the new “G” mode both at the Dual Clutch Transmission and the two-level adjustable traction control. Honda has also increased rev-limiter, now reaching 7,500 rpm with manual transmission.
Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing - The 2018 Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing has been extensively revised, yet it still shares the 1.833cc 6-cylinder engine with the previous model. It has gained power (125bhp at 5,500rpm, with peak torque of 170Nm delivered at 4,500rpm) thanks to the restyling, which has included 4-valves per cylinder. The 6-speed manual transmission is still available, while the new Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) features 7-speeds, with clutch feel, shift speed and rpm range of up/downshifts tailored to each riding mode.
The electronic arsenal of the engine is now complete and includes - Throttle By Wire, 4 Riding Modes (Tour, Sport, Econ e Rain), HSTC traction control, Hill Start Assist (HSA) and the Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS), which distributes braking force to the front and rear wheels. The 2018 model comes with full LED lighting and reverse system.
Honda Neo Sports Café Concept - Honda said little about this concept, which is equipped with a 998cc liquid-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine, high standard upside-down forks at the front and a single-sided swingarm at the rear (both fully adjustable). Its braking system features dual front brake discs with radial calipers.
