In the Union Budget 2024, the government took a crucial initiative to nurture further the country's telecom, ISP and allied industries. The Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) of specific telecom equipment was increased from 10 per cent to 15 per cent to incentivize domestic manufacturing. Also, to enhance 'Ease of Doing Business', the government is working on the Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0.
