Directed by Saket Chaudhary, Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium has fared quite well at the box office. Made with a budget of Rs 22 crore, the film has managed to do a business of Rs 19.01 crore; raking in around Rs 3.30 crore on May 23 itself.
Despite facing competition from ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and 'Half Girlfriend', the film has done fairly well and continues to do so on the basis of its good script and the positive word of mouth in the market. The movie has already managed to rake in a total collection of Rs 15 crore from digital, satellite and overseas rights.
The shows have been increased on public demand and made tax free in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Bhushan Kumar, it is a T-Series and Maddock Film presentation that also features Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal and Amrita Singh in important roles.
While Irrfan Khan has given critically acclaimed performances in movies like Piku, The Namesake, Madari, Hindi Medium marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress, Saba Qamar.
