Hilton on Monday announced the signing of a strategic licensing agreement with Olive by Embassy, the hospitality and co-living division of the Embassy Group, to launch 150 Spark by Hilton hotels.
This marks the debut of the brand in the Asia Pacific region and represents Hilton’s largest global deal for Spark by Hilton. The first of these properties are expected to open within the next ten years, with plans to cover key southern and western cities including Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Launched in 2023, Spark by Hilton has already begun to make waves in the global hospitality industry. The brand, which currently has 100 hotels under development, is described as a conversion-friendly, premium economy offering designed to meet the rising demand for quality accommodations at accessible prices. The Spark by Hilton concept has already been rolled out in the US, Canada, and the UK, with future expansions planned for Austria and Germany.
In India, Spark by Hilton aims to cater to an unmet demand for affordable yet premium stay experiences, with hotels expected to be priced between Rs 4,000 and Rs 6,000 per night. The brand promises to offer a fresh approach to guest experiences, featuring multifunctional public spaces with seating options ranging from communal tables to rocking chairs. A complimentary breakfast with local flavors will be offered, alongside a 24-hour retail market for travelers on the go.
Kahraman Yigit, co-founder and CEO of Olive by Embassy, highlighted the market opportunity, stating that Spark by Hilton’s arrival fills a gap in the premium economy segment, providing a consistent brand that will support the broader growth of the market.
