Alphabet’s Google Cloud is preparing to intensify its efforts against Microsoft’s cloud licensing practices, even after Microsoft reached a settlement with CISPE, a European trade body that had filed an antitrust complaint.
According to a Reuters report, Amit Zavery, head of Google Cloud, said that many regulatory bodies are scrutinising Microsoft’s licensing tactics and expressed hope that these inquiries would yield solutions to prevent anti-competitive behaviour in the cloud market.
Zavery stated that Google Cloud is determined to explore all available options to continue its fight against Microsoft's practices. The aim is to ensure a fair and competitive environment that allows choice, innovation and the growth of the digital economy in Europe.
