Computer hardware manufacturer GIGABYTE emphasised its commitment to artificial intelligence (AI) at COMPUTEX 2024, a major technology trade show. The company highlighted its existing collaborations with industry leaders like Microsoft, Intel and NVIDIA to enhance AI performance in consumer PCs.
GIGABYTE's focus on AI reflects a wider trend among chip suppliers and PC manufacturers as they prepare to showcase their latest advancements at COMPUTEX. The company's strategy centres on maximising AI chip performance and solidifying its position in the AI PC market.
A key element of GIGABYTE's strategy is the new AI Nexus technology featured in its latest gaming laptops. AI Nexus offers three functionalities: AI Boost leverages AI for improved performance during demanding games, AI Power Gear extends battery life by managing the discrete graphics processor and AI Generator provides on-device generative AI capabilities.
Additionally, GIGABYTE further demonstrated its commitment to AI by integrating Microsoft's Copilot program into its laptops. Over 40 per cent of their laptops now feature dedicated Copilot keys for seamless access to Microsoft services.
In addition, select models powered by Intel processors integrate Neural Processing Units (NPUs) for efficient AI processing and improved battery life. All GIGABYTE AI gaming laptops utilise NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series Laptop GPUs, supporting demanding software.
Beyond hardware advancements, GIGABYTE hosted the "GIGABYTE AI New Era: Humanity X Art X Technology" exhibition. This event explored the intersection of AI with humanity, art and technology. Visitors experienced AI-generated art and machine learning applications, showcasing the potential of AI to reshape various aspects of life.
