If you have recently broken your smartphone there is a high chance that it was due to the display shattering into tiny pieces. There have been breakthroughs in creating strong and sturdy glass to protect the display, however, nothing else provides as much protection as the ‘ShatterShield’ on the Moto X Force. The company is so confident that it provides a 4-year warranty on the display. Moto ShatterShield consists of five layers:
First, a rigid aluminium core that provides structural integrity and durability. Then comes the main AMOLED display which is flexible, to absorb shocks. Next, there is a dual touch layer with redundancy to help it survive accidents. The next layer is the interior lens which provides a clear protective shield that won’t crack or shatter. Lastly, an exterior lens that has a unique hard-coat that helps protect the display against wear and tear.
Even after dropping it 10-15 times the display remained intact. The only damage to the handset were the dents and scuffs around the metal frame which can be avoided by using a protective case.
In terms of performance, the smartphone packs a punch including a fast Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and internal memory options of 32GB and 64GB, both having a micro SD card expansion slot. At 5.4-inches with a 2K (2560x1440) resolution and an AMOLED display it offers punchy colours and contrast. The 21MP camera is also good. Running Android 5.1, it offers a stock experience and everything runs super smooth.
If you tend to drop your phone more often, then this is the handset to invest in. The 32GB costs Rs 49,999 and the 64GB version will set you back by Rs 53,999, making it Motorola’s most expensive handset till date.
