Hollywood movies are slowly progressing in India. There was a time when there wasn’t much audience for such films in the Indian market and one used to feel that these movies were a little too far-fetched and their story ideas were bizarre.

However, these are the same reasons why these Hollywood movies do so well in the Indian market now. Some of these films have performed quite brilliantly at the Indian box office.

1. The Jungle Book (2016)

The Jungle Book that released only last year managed a business of about Rs 183.94 crore at the Indian box office. The movie was released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. In its Hindi version, Irrfan Khan dubbed for the part of Baloo, Om Puri as Bagheera, Priyanka Chopra as Kaa, Nana Patekar as Shere Khan and Rajesh Khattar as Akela. The film managed to gross the said amount in about 50 days in India.

2. Fast and Furious 7 (2015)

The film earned an estimated amount of Rs 172 crore in India in its English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. For a Hollywood action movie in India, the film experienced a phenomenal success.

3. Avatar (2009)

First of its kind, the film had never seen before graphics and effects for any Hollywood movie. The film managed to rake in an estimated amount of Rs145 crore at the Indian box office. ‘Avatar’ was the first Hollywood movie that crossed Rs 100 crore in the country.

4. Jurassic World (2015)

Its prequel, Jurassic Park released back in 1993 and recorded a phenomenal success and the much hyped and long awaited sequel was no less. The film managed to earn an estimated amount of Rs 113 crore at the Indian box office. The movie released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu along with its English version.

5. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Avengers that released in the year 2012 was a huge success and ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ managed to top it off. The movie managed a business of Rs 111 crore at the Indian box office.
