Fiat India Opens Booking For Jeep Compass
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India announced the opening of pre-bookings for its Made in India Jeep Compass. The Jeep® Compass, manufactured locally at FCA’s state of the art joint-venture facility in Ranjangaon, near Pune will be available in three trims – Sport, Longitude and the Limited (top-of-the-line). The premium SUV will be available in five colours i.e. Minimal Grey, Exotica Red, Hydro Blue, Vocal White and Hip Hop Black as well as options in 4x2 and 4x4. Customers can now either log on to the company’s official website www.jeep-india.com or at its showroom and place a pre-booking amount of Rs. 50,000.
Announcing the opening of bookings, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “To harness the great demand for the Jeep Compass, we have executed a customer outreach across 21 cities at 26 shopping malls across India. We are already receiving overwhelming response to our new SUV. We have pulled out all stops to deliver the highest quality standard on the Jeep Compass and we are here to set a benchmark in the Indian SUV space.”
The Jeep® Compass is being offered with two powertrain options – the 160+ HP, 250 Nm Multi-air petrol and the 170+ HP, 350 Nm, Diesel. The SUV will also come with options of the 6-speed manual transmission (Petrol and Diesel) and the 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Technology Automatic or DDCT (Petrol) both these engines will be scalable to BS VI regulatory requirements in India.
With more than 50 safety and security features, the Jeep Compass will be one of the safest SUVs on Indian roads. Customers will have the luxury of having safety features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dynamic Steering Torque (DST), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Adaptive Brake Lights, Panic Brake Assist and many more such features as standard across the range. The Compass Limited 4x4 will be equipped with six airbags with dual stage passenger airbags.
