Dot9 Games and Nazara Publishing have declared that the upcoming mobile title FAU-G: Domination will be available for playtesting at the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2024, which will be held in Hyderabad from 13 November to 15 November. The first-person shooter (FPS) game, which is part of the FAU-G brand, will be showcased at the Nazara booth, where participants may play it out and provide comments. This is a critical stage in polishing the game ahead of its wider release.
This year, more than 5,000 people will attend IGDC, India's largest and longest-running game development conference. The event will include over 150 sessions and 250 speakers, offering an opportunity for industry experts to network and promote new ideas.
Following community input from a previous playtest in October 2024, FAU-G: Domination will have a number of additional features and enhancements. IGDC attendees will have the opportunity to play two new game modes: Kiss of Death and 1v1. Other changes include improved images, better sound, a new death cam and voice chat features. The game's character and weapon models will also be enhanced, with better textures and optimisation. Additional weapon balancing tweaks, as well as death and damage animation updates, are intended to improve competitive gaming.
Furthermore, the game will introduce new cosmetic goods, such as charms and skins, to allow players to personalise their experience. To show appreciation for playtesters' feedback, the development team will give out limited edition FAU-G: Domination fan kits to individuals who participated in the testing phase.
Pre-registrations for FAU-G: Domination are now open on the Google Play Store for Android users, with iOS and iPadOS pre-registrations due soon. Players who pre-register will receive the special Beast Collection, which includes in-game cosmetics inspired by India's national animal, the tiger. The collection contains six accessories and six weapon skins, all of which will be exclusive to gamers who pre-register before the game's official release.
The mobile gaming market in India includes over 500 million shooter players. India's gaming industry is projected to expand from USD 3.7 billion in FY24 to USD 9.8 billion by FY29, achieving a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 20 per cent, according to a report from consulting firm 1Lattice. This growth is attributed to several factors, including increased smartphone adoption, a young demographic and government initiatives aimed at enhancing India's presence in the global gaming sector.
According to the report, with over 950 million internet users and 820 million smartphone users, India's gaming base reached 560 million in FY23. Key drivers of this growth include enhanced connectivity, affordable high-quality smartphones and the expansion of digital payments, which have all contributed to the industry's reach.
