On Monday, Delhi University published a special cut-off list for applicants who were qualified for admission under previous lists but did not apply for a variety of reasons. Some courses in prestigious institutions that were closed after earlier rounds have reopened as part of the special list, giving individuals who did not apply before the option to do so now.
BA (Honours) Philosophy at Hindu College was closed for admission after the initial list, however, it has reopened under the special list. The course cut-off is 97.75 per cent, which is the same as the first list. Even at Lady Shri Ram College, admission to BA (Honours) Philosophy was stopped after the initial cut-off list, but it is still open under the special cut-off list at 97.50 per cent.
Similarly, admission to BSc (Honours) Mathematics at LSR was stopped after the initial list, but it has been reopened with a cut-off of 98.50 per cent. BA (Honours) Economics at Miranda House, which was closed following the second cut-off list, has been reopened despite the fact that the requisite marks have not been reached.
Kamala Nehru College has resumed admissions for BA (honours) Economics, with a minimum of 98 per cent marks required. BSc (Honours) Statistics and BSc (Honours) Electronics at Sri Venkateswara College were closed after the second list but have since reopened. The cut-off for BSc (Honours) Statistics is 98.25 per cent, while the cut-off for BSc (Honours) Electronics is 96 Per cent.
Admissions will be held under the special cut-off list on Tuesday and Wednesday, with universities having until Thursday to approve applications. The deadline for making payments is Friday. The fourth cut-off list will be released on October 30. According to official data, 60,155 students have paid the fees under the three lists while the university has processed 1,70,696 applications.
