In the second list released by Delhi University on Saturday, the majority of colleges have cancelled admissions to popular courses, while a handful decreased the marks required by 0.25 to 2 per cent. Admissions to programmes such as BA (Honours) Economics and BA (Honours) History are still available in certain prestigious colleges, despite the fact that the minimum grades necessary remain on the high side.
Hindu College, which had set a 100 per cent cut-off for BA (Honours) Political Science admissions, has stopped admissions to the subject in the second list. The college has also halted admissions to BA (Honours) Philosophy, BA (Honours) English, BA (Honours) Hindi, BA (Honours) History, BA (Honours) Sanskrit, and BA (Honours) Sociology.
Ramjas College, which had set the cut-off for Political Science (Honours) at 100, has made no changes to the marks necessary in the second cut-off, whereas the cut-off for BSc (Honours) Physics has been reduced from 100 per cent to 99.33 per cent. Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which had fixed the cut-offs for BA (Honours) Economics and Bcom (Honours) at 100%, has decreased the asking marks in the second list to 99.75 per cent and 99.12 per cent respectively. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa didn't reveal any perfect scores for the Bcom programme in the first list, therefore reduced the cut-off to 98.75 per cent from 100 per cent.
