The University of Delhi, DU, will announce the first cut-off list for merit-based undergraduate (UG) admissions tomorrow, October 1. The initial DU cut-off list will be released on October 9th, followed by the second and third lists on October 16th, respectively. While releasing the cut-off list timetable, the university also said that if seats remain available after the third DU cut-off 2021 list, DU would announce four more cut-off lists.
This year, Delhi University will use a contactless admission procedure to accept students for the academic year 2021-22. As part of DU's online admissions procedure, students who meet the DU cut-off can register online at the college or department websites rather than visiting the colleges.
Aspirants for Delhi University should expect higher cut-offs than the previous year since over 70,000 students achieved more than 95 per cent on the CBSE Class 12 board examinations this year.
A college principal, who requested anonymity, stated that he is analyzing the statistics and that the cut-offs would be higher than the previous year.
Miranda House principal Dr Bijaylaxmi Nanda stated that she has met with the principals of CBSE schools, who have informed her that the number of kids achieving 95% or above is somewhat higher this year. She did, however, state that there will be no per cent cut-off for any course at the college.
