Delhi University (DU) will conduct a special admission drive to fill seats under reserved categories. This will require DU to bring out two more cut off lists on August 3 and August 7.
There are about 1500 seats that remain to be filled under the reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, Person with Disability (PwD), Children/Widows of Armed Forces, Sports and extracurricular activities (ECA).
This requires all applicants under the special admission drive to be registered with the university already and filled the online registration forms. No fresh registrations will be allowed in the special drive criteria. Enrolled candidates will likewise be permitted to make changes related to the category from unreserved to any other category that they belong to.
According to HT, Admission committee chairman M K Pandit said, “The idea is to get those students into the university net who are registered but couldn’t seek admission for minor mistakes/choices they made at the time of filling an application.”
Applicants are required to carry their registration form along with relevant certificates that might be needed under these circumstances for admission under the special admission drive.
Under the sports category, candidates not admitted in any college, modification in college or course in sports or extra-curricular activity (ECA) will be permitted.
Delhi University’s seventh cut off list was released on July 26 for all categories.
