Indonesia’s telecom major Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) has signed a strategic partnership deal with CP Gurnani’s AIonOS, a joint venture between InterGlobe and Assago Group, to transform businesses in Indonesia into AI-native enterprises.
Under this collaboration, AIonOS will lead the AI3 initiative - Artificial Intelligence for Indonesia by Indosat - introducing a suite of cutting-edge AI-led solutions designed for various industries.
AIonOS, with its deep expertise in artificial intelligence and technology, will help Indosat’s mission to help Indonesia and establish itself as a key driver of Indonesia’s AI transformation. The partnership will focus on several key solutions, including Sovereign AI, a comprehensive suite of AI solutions offering a plug-and-play platform built on resilient digital infrastructure.
This initiative will target priority industries such as ed-tech, providing integrated products and services for all ecosystem stakeholders.
In addition to Sovereign AI, the collaboration will also introduce Enterprise AI Solutions, tailored for industry-specific use cases. For example, Aviation Enterprise AI is designed to enhance ancillary revenue, optimise operations and improve customer experience.
In a statement, C.P. Gurnani, Executive Vice Chairman at AIonOS said, “The future is now, and it needs groundbreaking partnerships at scale. Indosat's visionary approach for Indonesia, paired with AIonOS' dedication to building AI-native solutions, will deliver innovative technologies that empower enterprises to achieve rapid and sustainable growth.”
Another critical component of the partnership is Data and AI in a Box, a collection of solutions intended to accelerate and scale Indosat’s existing capabilities with advanced AI use cases. This includes robust fraud prevention, identity solutions, and privacy-focused marketing technology to create a secure digital ecosystem for Indonesia.
“This strategic partnership with AIonOS is a pivotal step in advancing Indonesia’s AI sovereignty and Indosat's larger purpose of empowering Indonesia. By integrating cutting-edge AI solutions into our digital infrastructure, we are not only enhancing our technological capabilities but also ensuring that Indonesia remains at the forefront of global AI innovation. Our goal is to harness the power of AI to drive sustainable growth, secure digital ecosystems, and ultimately, improve the quality of life for every Indonesian,” said Vikram Sinha, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
