Counselling Process For NEET PG Exams All Set To Start

The Supreme Court has directed the commencement of the counseling session in order to prevent further delay. As of now, the counseling will be done as per the existing OBC/EWS criteria.  

While the OBC criteria has been held to be constitutionally valid, the EWS criteria will remain valid for the current year admissions until the further decision on the petitions.

The apex court had taken up the petition as a consequence of prolonged delay in conducting the counseling round for NEET PG. This had miffed the resident doctors leading to protests.

The counseling process got stuck after a plea was filed in the Supreme Court against the criteria for determining the EWS Quota in the All India Quota.
