Well, as Lee Brown said, "Communication is the key to success in any business," Tapan Mishra has successfully made communication a key to business. With the changing times and to propitiate our struggles, he has brought out a perfect example for digital India; it is called Evergreen Club.
Coming from an entrepreneurial family background along with an understanding of business practices from an early age, Tapan was keen to take the plunge. With the knowledge that the older adult community is a heavily underserved market in India, he began the journey of co-founding Seniority, India’s largest e-commerce destination for the elderly. After a few months of experiments with various versions of the business proposition, he realised that the biggest issue faced by this segment was that of loneliness and social isolation. To solve this, he launched Evergreen Club.
Platform for Seniors
Evergreen Club is an online platform that helps the senior community to participate in various interactive and informative sessions and activities. Here, users can engage with the mentors, fellow members and learn and pick up new skills or rekindle their old hobbies and participate in activities that are both fun and productive.
Currently, the company conducts 1,000-plus sessions in a month across various categories. Soon it will launch a social networking platform where users are free to speak their mind, share their difficulties with fellow members, discuss takeaways from the various sessions conducted, engage with the mentors and much more. The level of product curation and efforts Evergreen Club puts in to ensure that seniors can find everything they would probably need for an independent lifestyle, has helped the company gain their trust over the last five years.
Tapan says the future pathway would be to expand the user base in the international markets and also cater to the adults who have not been on boarded in the digital journey of India.
