Bhubaneswar-based KIIT University's Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) and Chatur Ideas came together to host the "Investor Day 1.0" event with the aim of promoting a startup ecosystem in India.
Chatur Ideas, the core organiser of the event on 30 September at KIIT, aims to collaboratively work with all the colleges, universities, institutions, accelerators and incubators to foster entrepreneurship and innovation.
"It is hoped this investor day will inspire entrepreneurs, startups and investors in Odisha to create an ecosystem where all stakeholders can work together and leverage each other's strength to grow successful businesses," Chatur Ideas said in a press release.
The event was conceptualized by Devesh Chawla, who founded Chatur Ideas in January 2015 to serve as a one-stop solution for startups.
It recently acquired Nurture Talent Academy, which was India's first institute providing training in entrepreneurship to students and professionals. Chatur Ideas provides entrepreneurship programs, execution help and support in terms of funding through its venture and industry-expertise mentoring.
Chawla was invited as the guest of honor at CELT(Conclave of Entrepreneurship Leadership and Technology) at KIIT two months ago where Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was the keynote speaker.
He decided to leverage his investor network to assit KIIT-TBI startups.
Chatur Ideas and KIIT-TBI are associated with each other to provide this mega platform for curated startup incubated at KIIT-TBI, which is one of India's most-funded incubator, to showcase their products and services to Chatur Ideas investor network.
Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI, said the event created new opportunities in Odisha. He was impressed with the outstanding response from the investors as well as startups.
Miten Mehta, a KIIT-TBI board member as well as international advisor at Chatur Ideas, said amazing startups were presented at the event and they exchanged great ideas.
Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS, Bhubaneswar, congratulated the entire team of Chatur Ideas for its initiative.
