CEOs of leading pharma companies will meet to discuss key challenges within the industry on the sidelines of the 10th edition of CPhI India exhibition in Mumbai, beginning November 21.
The CEOs will present a white paper report to policy makers.
The 10th edition of CPhI India, which is touted as South Asia's largest pharma event will take place between November 21 and 23.
"A strategic gathering of industry thought leaders, the exclusive closed door CEO Round Table on November 22 will congregate CEOs of leading pharma companies to thought-provoking, solution-driven discussion on key challenges within the industry, which will result in the presentation of a white paper report to policy makers," UBM India Managing Director Yogesh Mudras told reporters.
The domestic pharma industry is the third-largest by value terms and is expected to grow over 15 per cent per annum by 2020.
"This year, nearly 1,300 exhibitors from over 100 countries will participate during the three-day exhibition.
The India Pharma Week commenced today will provide key stakeholders chance to interact, align, partner, learn, share as well as identify key opportunities unfolding in the developed as well as emerging markets," Mudras said.
The pharma week will see the women in pharma-power breakfast session, which will address the fact that despite advancements, women still comprises only 15 per cent of the total workforce in the domestic pharma industry.
The talks will be chaired by Samina Vaziralli, Executive Vice Chairman of Cipla, Anurita Majumdar, Sr Medical Director of Pfizer, and Rashmi Hegde, Director-Medical Abbott.
The event will also host India pharma awards to recognise excellence, achievements and innovations of pharma industry stalwarts, Mudras said.
