The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) is a nationally reputed management institute with a rich history. Having commenced operations in 1964, it is one of the oldest management institutes in India. IPE runs a range of popular two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes covering several different specialisations, including general management, marketing, banking & finance, international business and HR.
IPE also offers a 15-month Executive PGDM for working professionals. All its programmes are AICTE approved. It also has a successful track record of running MDPs and executive programmes. To date, it has run over 1,000 MDPs covering over 50,000 participants. IPE also has a strong research and consultancy division, which provides consulting services and undertakes research projects sponsored by many national organisations and corporations, including some of the largest and most reputed public sector enterprises in India. One of the highlights of IPE is its linkages to industry and placements. Many leading national and multinational companies visit its campus to recruit graduates, facilitated by the Placements Division.
AMOMG TOP B-SCHOOLS: IPE is also consistently ranked among the leading business schools in India’s most well-known ranking surveys. IPE has made it back to the NIRF rankings after a five-year gap. It is listed in the top 100 management institutes in the country, out of a total of 659 institutions that participated in NIRF this year. Only three institutions from Telangana made it to the NIRF rankings this year and IPE is one among them, making it a noteworthy achievement.
Another attraction of IPE is its sprawling 22-acre campus at Shamirpet, Hyderabad, surrounded by a reserve forest on one side and a beautiful lake on the other. This state-of-the-art campus provides a serene academic environment congenial for students, research scholars and faculty. IPE has an academic and administration block, a modern knowledge centre (library) that provides access to more than 5,000 national and international journals and over 40,000 books, state-of-the-art IT facilities and management-related software, a well-equipped auditorium, food court and several sports facilities. The campus also provides modern hostel facilities to accommodate boys and girls.
IPE has an eminent board of governors comprising renowned senior government officials, policymakers, industry captains, venture capital and startup promoters. Its board is led by president Sri Madhava Rao, IAS, who is a former chief secretary and election commissioner, Government of Andhra Pradesh (combined).
