Common Admission Test (CAT), which is conducted annually by Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), is one of the prestigious exam in Indian education system. It is obvious that aspirants will go for a do or die situation while preparing for CAT.
It won’t be acceptable that after such rigorous preparation last minute glitches led to non-fulfillment of your dreams. In such a scenario, what should not be avoided are the do’s and don’ts at the CAT exam centre.
To begin with, at your assigned CAT exam centre (mentioned on admit card) you must carry only two things – admit card and identity proof, as without these two items you won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall.
1. Admit Card - Candidates can download their admit cards for CAT 2017 from 25 October - 26 November, 2017 from iimcat website.
2. Identity Proof - Candidates need to carry any one of their photo identity proof. Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, UID card, and Driver’s license are your photo identity proof.
Now, comes the most neglected part of what should not be carried at the examination centre. Be careful in this, otherwise the loss will be yours; especially for aspirants who will be traveling alone to the exam centre.
1. No electronics, including mobile phone, calculator and watch, are allowed inside the exam centre.
2. As CAT is a computer based test, there is no point of carrying any stationery.
3. Don’t carry any bags, pouches, or purses to the centre. Moreover, don’t carry any other paper or document apart from admit card and photo identity proof.
4. We have a habit of carrying water bottles with ourselves. Don't, I repeat don't, carry water bottles. Moreover, the exam centre will provide you with water.
