Career Power, test preparation organisation engaged in training students for government jobs and entrance exams, has announced to provide free coaching to 10,000 less fortunate people across India by end of FY 15-16.
As part of its voluntary CSR initiative called ‘Ummeed - Education for Everyone’, the test preparation pioneer is initially beginning the noble initiative at two of its branches in Delhi (Laxmi Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar), following by Lucknow, Kanpur, Bhopal, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad in the first year.
Anil Nagar, CEO and Co-Founder, Career Power said, “Through this initiative, we want to support efficient, intelligent and hardworking students who want to be successful but lack the right kind of guidance or could not afford good education. Being grown up in a farmer family in remote UP, I could relate to the importance of rural aspirants in landing up with government jobs since time immemorial and so intend to provide the platform to such aspirants through “Ummeed” campaign. And this is the best way to celebrate our success and contribute to the society at large.”
The scheme is open for students, whose family income is less than Rs 2 Lakh and those who have secure more than 50 per cent marks in their graduation. Eligible candidates have to produce family income certificate, signed by a competent authority within one year from the date of submission, when applying for Free Coaching at Career Power.
