Krafton, the makers of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Dolby Laboratories have collaborated to add Dolby Atmos immersive audio to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI)'s Arena and Team Death Match modes. This update is available for Dolby Atmos-enabled Android devices and aims to improve the mobile gaming audio experience.
The addition of Dolby Atmos to BGMI aims to provide players with a more detailed and immersive sound experience. Dolby Atmos is noted for its ability to give exact sound localisation and depth, which may enhance gameplay by allowing players to perceive small audio signals.
Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development at Krafton India, stated, "We are implementing Dolby Atmos to give a more engaging audio experience for BGMI players. Our goal is to incorporate technology that improves gaming and provides more realistic sound."
The Dolby Atmos technology is supposed to enhance the quality and precision of audio in BGMI, allowing players to recognise in-game sounds more effectively. This upgrade is part of Krafton's efforts to incorporate innovative audio technologies into its games.
Sameer Seth, Director Marketing - India at Dolby Laboratories, stated that "Adding Dolby Atmos to BGMI lets players to experience more precise and detailed sound. This upgrade is part of our ongoing work to make immersive audio available in popular mobile games.
Dolby Atmos improves sound quality by generating a three-dimensional audio environment that allows users to perceive sounds from all directions with higher clarity.
