Barter Possibilities Explained!

It is said and historically recorded, that the origins of economic activity started with a barter system where products and services were exchanged with each other. Measures of quantity & quality were established as barter economic activities grew, & got sophisticated accordingly. Using Planned & Organized Deficit Spending (PODS) one can propose a Barter economy which is practical enough, and really is a combination of ability to pay, speculation, luck of the draw, government policies, and desire to exchange.

By looking into a futuristic PODS economy and extrapolating using what we have learned until now, it is safe to assume that the economy evolves & produces the following “BENEPOLIES” (instead of MONOPOLIES):

For Food = Rice =   M/s ODANA & its ODANA Brand of basmati rice & clothes made by M/s FASHWASH (as the original cloth materials were agro based)
For Water = M/s H TWO OWE & its H20 brand of mineral water
For Shelter = Pre Fab Houses made by M/s CONVCON.

In this economic scenario, the barter activity unfolds with the respective economy BENEPOLIES inviting applications for its products/services on a First Come First Paid (by cash or digital monies) Served basis. Applications can be traded for a lower rank from a higher rank for monies or other applications. After all first Paid Applications are supplied & accounted for, by conducting a lottery, or supplying to the government ENPS PDS  all surplus, end of year, or season, stocks of products/services are used up till zero stocks remain. The Lottery is a number of actual production & physical supply of a product/service that is deemed as surplus. For example:
MARUTI booked 100 paid applications for its cars and issued lottery numbers from 101 up to 125 Model V cars after it was found that year end stocks were remaining of 25 cars.

ODANA booked applications for 100 paid applications of 500grams of ODANA brand Rice per day for One year. It issued lottery numbers from 101 up to 110 500 grams ODANA rice packs for one year because of a bumper Rice Crop this year & availability in yearend stocks carried over 18250 kgs of rice to the next year & was contemplating exporting next year if stocks remained.

M/s H TWO OWE booked 100 Paid applications for 2 liters of H20 brand mineral water per day for One Year and issued lottery numbers from 101 up to 125 2 liter bottles for one year of H20 brand Mineral water as this year there was excess rainfall in the geographical area where this water is sourced & there would be no stocks left after supplying applications 101-125.

M/s CONVCON booked 100 paid applications for its pre fabricated houses and issued lottery numbers as well as for export of 56 extra bedroom cum bathroom units.

M/s INTELLIGENCE booked 100 paid applications in Graduate level courses in Planet Engineering & issued lottery numbers for 100 extra direct upload able courses in Graduate Planet Energy Planning. Number 101 to 200

M/s AYURVEDA booked 100 paid applications for their LAL PLUS brand of Health Services & issued lottery numbers for 34 surplus “One year hibernation” Pills.

M/s TARAZOO services booked 100 paid applications for Calamity Insurance during hibernation and issued lottery numbers for 11 claims delivered to your bank account service packs for Numbers 101 to 111.

So far we are clear that there seems to be at least 100 paying economic units in this economy…at least when we began in time…..

Now as the economy delivers the Products and services to the respective applied for 100 paying or working economic units, in the progression of real time physical supply: 10 immigrants are allowed into the economy, and export of some surplus is allowed in return for a new pre identified product to be introduced in the economy….a state secret for the time being….these immigrants are allowed in to be domestic help for the citizens of this PODS economy.

As these immigrants need to consume and being human, soon all the above ENPS natural needs are required and the surpluses are exchanged by just exchanging the lottery application number for say a 2 liter pack of H20 brand mineral water ( No. 111) & a 500 gram pack of ODANA brand Rice ( No. 101) by bartering away a lottery application number for a lottery number for a V Model Maruti ( No. 113)….the logic being, that H20 water supply of 2 liters per day & 500 grams of ODANA Rice per day will keep the immigrant domestic help with enough drinking water & Rice (food) for a year ,when her Visa comes up for renewal; and a Maruti V Model will be of no use until then; when possibly the immigrant would want to pay/apply for her own Maruti V Model, in the lottery application for a Maruti V model amongst yearend stocks leftover, and maybe take it back to her own original economy; or get her employee to exchange another lottery application number from the numbers he has bought or lucky enough to win via the ENPS lottery, for any one of the surplus 7 products/services, in exchange for a Maruti V model……application..

It is leaked out by the media that the NEW pre identified product is A Domestic Chores Robot…and so the immigrant domestic help is not issued an extension of her Visa after One year is over as she is a ‘replaced” domestic chores employee, but could go back after remitting a Maruti V model as compensation for working One Year as a domestic help. She lives in an economy’s citizen’s pre fabricated home where she lived in a ENPS supplied extra bedroom cum bathroom…from M/s CONVCON

Then she starts contemplating that maybe she should get her employer to exchange M/s AYURVEDA’s surplus One Year Hibernation Pills and hibernate for 5 years; & just in case she does not wake up at all, maybe convince her employer to take M/s TARAZOOs Calamity Insurance during hibernation and give her home economy’s Bank account details also. She is be allowed to hibernate for 5 years & stay  this 5 year period in her employee’s extra bedroom & bathroom, as minimum 5 years have to be stayed in this economy, for the authorities to consider citizenship!!?? She also considers asking her employer, who she really took good care for, and who feels indebted to her, to maybe exchange his One original paid for Education capsule on Planet Engineering from M/s INTELLIGENCE along with the Graduate Planet Energy Planning capsule and go to another planet in the Maruti V model which is connected by a virtual road; rather than go back to her own non PODS economy and maybe also take some family along on the way also to………& so on..

The paid applications are paid by citizens who have wants, desires for luxuries over & above the ENPS and pay in cash/digital monies to the producer of these wants & desires because they earn monies from a bonafide job & don’t entirely rely on the government for their essential needs, wants ,desires and luxuries which they might be enjoying also. The producer on the other hand sells all he/she manufactures or grows using 100% of his/her capacities, and can get rid of the yearend stocks either in a free lottery or sells at cost to the government, which supplies these excess stocks to its ENPS citizens, free of cost, or the producer exports only surpluses.

Application numbers can be exchanged & traded or sold to others for monies, or for other product or service application numbers. To put it simply, paper or digital currency is replaced by application numbers of various wants, desires & luxuries, which is the same thing, but instead of paper currency being backed by other paper currencies & a numeric value, the monies & their applications are backed by a real product, good or service.

So PODS also can support a barter economy for ENPS as well as suggest a way of satisfying desires, wants & luxuries where online application/buys, paid for in digital monies, are exchanged for goods, products or services where they are delivered to your address. Demand is monitored and reflects in supply delivering in a few days, out of stocks, or after physical manufacture/ growth. Online portals delivering various goods, products & services bear testimony to so many sale applications being delivered though not exchanged. Note, that the online market sometimes just has a production/supply lag between order (“application”) filing & delivery, of a few days between demand & supply.

The proposed barter system sounds communistic, but if you look closely it encompasses the free market in a much better manner by reducing wastage & yearend stocks to zero. It’s almost like a commodity exchange where lots are replaced by products, goods & services which fall under the categories of wants, desire & luxuries and not based on future paper but every “lot” has a actual physical good, product or service “behind” the “lot” and real consumption takes place of the “lot” also.
