ASUS introduces Vivobook S 15, the first ASUS Windows Copilot+ PC with AI-powered features and up to 18 hours of battery life
ASUS presented the Vivobook S 15, the company's first Copilot+ PC, at its "Next Level. AI Incredible." virtual event. The laptop is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor and offers a collection of exclusive ASUS AI apps designed to enhance user experience for work and entertainment.
"As ASUS embarks on this journey, marked by the introduction of our first AI PC, we stand at the beginning of a new era of personal computing," said S.Y. Hsu, Co-CEO, ASUS at the event. “The introduction of our first ASUS Copilot+ PC powered by Snapdragon X Elite is a significant milestone for us and we believe that these devices are the future of consumer PCs and will drastically change the way we work, study, create and play.”
The event featured speakers from Microsoft and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., following a similar event by Microsoft where the company officially unveiled the new Windows experiences and standards for PCs to qualify as ASUS Copilot+ PCs.
Additionally, the Vivobook S 15 leverages the Snapdragon X Elite platform's built-in AI engine to deliver hardware-accelerated AI functions and efficient performance. The custom-integrated Qualcomm Oryon CPU promises up to 18 hours of battery life. For enhanced visuals, the laptop features a 15.6-inch 3K 120Hz OLED display with Harman Kardon-certified audio. The all-metal design is 14.7mm thin and weighs 1.42kg for portability.
The Vivobook S 15 is the first ASUS Windows Copilot+ PC to integrate the latest Windows AI tools. Powered by the Snapdragon X Elite with a built-in Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, it offers a 45 TOPS neural processing unit for on-device AI processing. Storage options include up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
Next-generation AI-powered features include Windows Studio Effects and an ASUS AiSense IR camera. The camera's presence-detection enables Adaptive Dimming, which adjusts screen brightness based on the user's gaze and Adaptive Lock, which automatically locks and unlocks the laptop when the user moves away and returns.
In addition, the Vivobook S 15 introduces ASUS's exclusive AI app, StoryCube, designed to manage digital assets through AI-powered sorting, editing and exporting.
For enhanced security and privacy, the Vivobook S 15 integrates Windows Studio Effects for improved lighting and noise removal during video calls and ASUS AiSense Camera with AI-powered security features. It also incorporates Live Captions for real-time subtitles and Cocreator to transform sketches into finished artworks.
Further, the Vivobook S 15 is designed for portability with a 14.7mm ultra-slim and 1.42kg lightweight design. The high-capacity 70Wh battery offers up to 18 hours of battery life and supports fast charging. A single-zone RGB backlit keyboard allows for personalisation, while a dedicated Copilot key provides quick access to Windows AI-powered tools.
Connectivity options include two USB4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader and an audio combo jack. WiFi 7, enabled by the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 system, delivers speeds up to 5.8 Gbps.
The Vivobook S 15 offers a 15.6-inch 3K 120Hz OLED display with a wide colour gamut, fast response time and low blue light emission for eye care. The display is complemented by a Harman Kardon-certified audio system with Dolby Atmos sound.
