Journalist Arnab Goswami's Republic TV will start its broadcast from tomorrow across all the major DTH providers and Hotstar. The long wait has come to an end as the news broadcast venture Republic TV is set to go live on 6th May at 10 AM and will be free to air channel across the Country.
Arnab will be addressing the nation tomorrow on Republic TV after a long break to mark the official launch of the channel. Republic TV is riding on extraordinary hype and has become the talk of the country. However, everyone was anxious to know the date of commencement of broadcast and this announcement comes as a relief to all is keenly awaiting potential viewers.
Republic TV has finalised distribution deals with leading DTH operators and Cable Networks across the country and with the digital content leader Hotstar. Republic TV will be the first news channel to live stream on Hotstar. The content provider has news access from Fox News and Sky News.
Cable and Digital tie-ups have been confirmed by Republic TV on their Twitter handle. The channel will be available free of cost across DTH and Cable providers. On Thursday, Republic TV Tweeted about its latest distribution tie-up with direct-to-home platform Tata Sky. "Republic TV is coming to your homes soon as free-to-air channel. Check your cable/ DTH operator now," the post read. It will be available on Tata Sky on channel number 616.
Republic TV is part of ARG Outlier Media Private Limited. Among its main investors are Rajya Sabha MP's Rajeev Chandrashekhar'sAsianet News Private Limited, and SARG Media Holding Private Limited which is owned by Goswami himself.
